Kohl’s current and former employees can receive paper copies of their W-2s by post or download the digital versions through the online portal.
You can access the myHR portal of Kohl’s in a few simple steps and download tax documents including W-2.
Let us guide you through the process of how to access Kohl’s myHR and download your W-2 as a current or former employee.
Form W-2 is the salary and wages statement of employees. It contains tax information as well as income earned by an employee.
The IRS requires employers to issue Form W-2s to their employees every year before January 31. It is issued to workers who fulfill the definition of employees and earn at least $600.
Self-employed and independent contractors working with Kohl’s will not receive this form.
Your Form W-2 will include the following information:
- Total taxable income earned from Kohl’s
- Federal and state taxes withheld by Kohl’s
- Social Security and Medicare deductions
- FICA taxes withheld
- Employer Identification Number (EIN)Advertisements
- Taxable and nontaxable benefits
- Income tax withholding exemption if applicable
Kohl’s will deduct your income taxes and other contributions as per Form W-4. This form is given to an employer by employees at the joining.
Kohl’s has a dedicated online HR portal that allows current and former employees to download their W-2s and other documents instantly.
If you have signed up for Kohl’s myHR, you only need to sign in with your current login ID and password.
Once you log in, you can download Form W-2 from the “Quick Links” section under the “View my Form W2” link.
You can follow these simple steps to create a new user ID at Kohl’s myHR.
Go to the link myhr.kohls.com and select the “Active Associates” tab. It will direct you to the opening page of the portal.
If you have already created an account, log in with your ID and password. Else, click on the “New User” link to create a new ID.
Enter your personal identification information like the last 4 digits of your social security number, date of birth, and ZIP code.
You’ll get three options to set your access code in this step.
- Set a temporary password and change it later when you receive the password by post.
- Set your password through email.
- Set your password through call.
Enter the one-time passcode to set your access.
Create your new user ID and a strong password in this step. Follow the password settings to create a unique and strong password.
In this step, you can create two-factor authentication by setting up the phone pin as well. You’ll need this phone pin when you call the support center at any stage.
Select your security questions and answers for password resetting changes later. Complete other requirements to create your new user ID.
Once you complete these steps, you’ll be able to log in with your new employee user ID at Kohl’s myHR.
Kohl’s Former employees can download their W-2s and other information from the same online portal.
If your employee user ID is still valid, you can use it to log in at the myHR portal of Kohl’s and access your tax and salary information.
You can follow the same steps as outlined above to create a new user ID as a former employee.
Use the “former associate” link on the myhr.kohls.com page instead of the current associate. Then, follow the same steps above and provide necessary information.
Once you set up a new user account as a former employee, you can go to the Quick Links section and choose “view my W-2″.
If your Form W-2 has been uploaded by Kohl’s, it will appear under this section and you’ll be able to download and print it immediately.
Current and former employees of Kohl’s can use the myHR portal to download digital W-2s at any time.
Go to the myHR portal by following the link: myhr.kohls.com. Then, sign in with your active user ID and password.
Scroll through the menu or find the “Quick Links” button. Here, you can follow the “view my tax documents” link.
By clicking on the “view my documents” link you’ll open a dropdown menu of your tax documents including W2.
Select your Form W-2 if it is available and download or print it in seconds.
Current and former employees of Kohl’s can access other tax documents through this portal as well.
Some important tax documents you may receive through this portal include:
- Form W-2: Wages and Tax Statement
- 1099-DIV: If you received employee stock compensation plans
- 1099-B: if you received employee benefits
- W8-BEN: if you are a Kohl’s associate but a non-US resident currently
As a new employee, if you haven’t registered for the myHR portal yet, you’ll receive Form W-2 by post.
If your online user ID is inactive as a former employee, you can also request a digital copy by email or a paper copy by post.
Kohl’s (and other employers) must issue Form W-2s to their employees by January 31 every year. Employees can then use this form to fulfill their individual income tax returns and file before the deadline.
You may need to contact Kohl’s HR department for the paycheck, income tax, or other types of queries.
